LUAR x Mejuri Is Finally Here
Focusing on unique designs, quality and craftsmanship, the collection features new convertible hoops, charms and an adaptation of LUAR’s iconic Ana bag
Previously unveiled during CFDA Accessories Designer of the YEAR and LVMH Prize semi finalist LUAR’s FW23 runway show, the hotly anticipated collaboration with fine jewelry brand Mejuri is finally available to shop. Focusing on unique designs, top quality and stellar craftsmanship, the collection features new convertible hoops, charms and an adaptation of LUAR’s iconic Ana bag, all of which allows customers to personalize their pieces and celebrates self-expressions.
“Mejuri was built on the premise of redefining luxury for the everyday, for everyone,” says Noura Sakkijha, CEO and Co-founder of Mejuri. “My team and I find the next generation of creatives in the industry incredibly exciting and I am delighted to partner with Raul and his brand LUAR on this collection. He is part of the zeitgeist of cultural shape-shifters who align with our values in disrupting the status quo.”
As imagined by the brands, the collection’s pieces were inspired by the desire for experimentation by the consumer. Every piece can be made entirely their own – as the name suggests, the Convertible Link Earrings offer three styles in one, while the leather Ana bag can also be transformed from a handbag to a crossbody to a shoulder bag. The Ana bag also finds emulation in the Ana Hoop Charm, an accessory that fits perfectly on Mejuri’s charm compatible hoops. All of the three pieces’ color scheme consists of gold and cream, perfectly understated hues that allow the designs to shine. Subtle, focused design elements within this collection perfectly blend together Mejuri and LUAR’s brand identities.
Both disruptors in their respective industries – Mejuri pioneered the ‘drop’ model in the fine jewelry industry and LUAR’s founder Raul Lopez was named to the TIME 100 Next list of emerging leaders from around the world – the brands are focused on changing the narrative surrounding luxury, shifting the focus back on the quality and meaning behind pieces.
“My love for Mejuri comes from how similar to LUAR, the brand is focused on delivering classic icons that each individual can make their own,” says Raul Lopez, Creative Director of LUAR. “Whether on a Gen-Z girl, a girl from Queens or my grandma, the product comes to life in its own expression and that’s the power of our brands, enabling people to interpret our creations and make them their own. It’s about accessibility!”
The collection is now available on both Mejuri and LUAR’s sites. $5 from the sale of each individual product will be donated to Stonewall Community Foundation: a prolific funder of LGBTQIA2S+ issues, supporting over 700 organizations to advance queer liberation and racial, social, and economic justice.
