LVMH Announces Partnership With Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney’s sustainability efforts continue forward as the designer partners with LVMH.

LVMH has signed a partnership with Stella McCartney as she continues to pioneer sustainability in the fashion industry. After buying her brand back from Kering, Stella McCartney has long been dedicated to the cause, while other luxury and fast-fashion companies scurry to show consumers their dedication to reducing their environmental impacts. This partnership will have great effects on her efforts of sustainability.

McCartney has long been recognized for her ethical fashion practices. She first eliminated the use of animal products from her brand in 2015, and has continued to show her dedication to the cause throughout her collections and collaborations. The designer bought back the 50% stake in her company previously held by Kering in 2018. A statement made by the chairman of LVMH Bernard Arnault brought light upon the goals of the newfound partnership, stating, “The goal of this partnership will be for the Stella McCartney House to accelerate its worldwide development in terms of business and strategy, while of course remaining faithful to its long-lasting commitment to sustainability and ethical fashion.”

The partnership between Stella McCartney and LVMH will keep her at the forefront of the efforts towards minimizing environmental impacts through all aspects of consumers’ lives. Further insights into this partnership will become apparent in September, so keep an eye out.
