M Missoni X YOOX Highlight ‘Reuse, Remix, Respect’ in First Collaboration

Sustainability, inclusivity, and freedom of expression were the main focuses of the two brand’s newest collection.

An eleven piece collaboration between M Missoni and YOOX was released on Friday, seeing jumpsuits, dresses, skirts, trousers, t-shirts, and sweatshirts designed for no gender, size, or shape constraints. Emphasizing vivid colors like fuchsia, blue, and white, the collection embodies both brand’s missions: the freedom of expression and inclusivity.

With M Missoni sharing the same DNA as Missoni, the former experiments with garments that are repurposed and recycled, “unearthing hidden gems and singing unsung songs,” says M Missoni. YOOX shares similar values with M Missoni, as the lifestyle store offers hard-to-find fashion, art, and design items from renown international designers and socially or environmentally aware brands.

The collaboration between the two brands sought to reuse, remix, and respect, which included the use of sustainable lurex material for the sweatshirts and t-shirts, a recycled Missoni-stock scrap for the sweatshirts’ appliqué, and Forest Stewardship Council approved viscose for the black jumpsuits.
