Maccapani & The Luxury Collection Bring the Best of Italy to Casa Brera

From April 20 to 26, the capsule collection and retail pop-up will be held during the most creatively charged week in the city’s calendar
From April 20 to 26, Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel in the heart of Milan, becomes home to Maccapani Edits for The Luxury Collection. The collaboration brings together Margherita Maccapani Missoni, founder of her eponymous label founded in 2023 to reinterpret “Made in Italy” through a modern lens, blending youth culture with tradition, and a longtime Global Explorer for the brand. The Luxury Collection is marking its 120th anniversary this year, tracing its origins back to 1906 under the CIGA brand. The pop-up is set outside the hotel’s living lounge, coinciding with Milan Design Week and the citywide Fuorisalone program.
“Milan has always been a city where creativity flourishes through a dialogue between heritage and innovation,” Margherita said. “My ongoing collaboration with The Luxury Collection has allowed me to deepen my connection to the artisans, traditions, and places that shape Italy’s creative identity. With Maccapani Edits for The Luxury Collection, we set out to create something both authentic and playful—a collection shaped by the makers, objects, and narratives that capture the true spirit of Italy.”

The capsule features a Moto T-shirt with a Horse of Saint Mark motif drawn from the brand’s CIGA heritage, six embroidered patches referencing iconic hotels across The Luxury Collection’s Italian portfolio, and a Casa Brera tote in multiple colors. What surrounds it is where Margherita’s eye really shows. She has personally curated a selection of Italian artisan brands for the space, including Il Papiro, the Florentine paper atelier known for its hand-marbled stationery; Iacobella, a Florence-based leather handbag studio; Lucia Zamberletti, a Milanese ceramic artist with a sculptural practice worth knowing; Yali Glass Murano candleholders; Merù Gioielli enameled pendants; and Mapi jewelry boxes. Select pieces will be available online through both The Luxury Collection and Maccapani’s e-commerce platforms.

Guests at Casa Brera will also have access to guided Destination Discovery experiences during the week, led by the hotel’s signature concierge and taking them directly into the workshops and studios of several featured artisans. A rare look inside a city that, for all its design week traffic, remains remarkably difficult to access at that level.
