A figure seen at nearly every important fashion soiree hosted in New York City on any given evening, Mafalda is quickly taking every world she dabbles in by storm. After teasing and then releasing her newest powerhouse single "Hate Me Right", today the songstress has gifted the world with a follow-up video with just as much angst and honesty as the infectious track.

In an interview with Paper, Mafalda says, “I wrote Hate Me Right with two people that I love to work with, Doug Schadt and Coyle Girelli. We were hanging out at the studio and after a long day of writing & eating a huge Williamsburg pizza, 'Hate Me Right' was born. The song is about how I don't like to keep problems bottled up. It’s about 'saying it to my face' if you have an issue that's bothering you or something you aren't telling someone. I don't usually plan for a specific mood or vibe when writing a song but I knew I wanted this track to be upbeat." And in her case, upbeat is an understatement.

Crooning lyrics like "I'm not good at sharing feelings / promise that I'm faithful / might seem broken but I know that fixing me is wasteful" and "break me honey / break, break me honey / take me with your coffee so I don't fall asleep", Mafalda's anthemic track unapologetically goes in for the kill (all in if you ask us) in every sense of the phrase.
