In lieu of the coveted catwalk, Maison Margiela’s MM6 Spring/Summer 2026 show took place on the street, an elevated sense of normality.

The collection featured neutrals, post-it colors, non-colors, and prints, providing a range for every Margiela lover. Covered buttons on the pieces allowed for sophistication while also incorporating coats, capes, blousons, and dresses made out of garment bags.
Short hemlines paired with defined postures added to the heightened normality, proving that anything can happen on the street and that the new law is impromptu.

Coats with matching dresses, bibs, lined skirts, while still making sure the classics are included: the mac, the pantsuit, the blouson, the shirt, the trousers. This collection imagines jeans having the fit and details of a tailored pant, and the traditional tailored pant as jeans.

Pieces are characterized, hems are raw, and the end of the fabric roll labeled. For cutaway pieces, transparent inserts create trompe l’oeil effects. Notable accessories that paired the pieces included flat metallic shoes, cocktail glass jewelry, shielding sunglasses, sleek handbags, and satin satchels knotted at the waist.
