Malone Souliers and Shondaland’s Bridgerton Have Partnered To Drop A Lavish New Shoe Collection

The elegant cordwainer’s crafter has partnered with Netflix’s biggest hit to bring audiences a modern twist on regency-era footwear inspired by the show’s glamour.

Fans of the Netflix and Shondaland hit show Bridgerton, this collaboration is for you! If you have ever wanted to add some of the show’s lavish, regency-era fashion to your collection, now is your chance. Luxury shoe label Malone Souliers has just announced that it’s releasing a Bridgerton-inspired shoe collection.

Malone Souliers was created in 2014 under the direction of designer, creative director, and founder, Mary Alice Malone. The luxury shoe brand is known for their designs that challenge mainstream fashion conventions. Their signature “Maureen” shoe blew up in 2015, putting the shoe brand on the map with a cult following of celebrities and fashion fanatics alike. 

 

While there are no official images of the glamorous, regency-era-inspired designs available to the public just yet, the brand has promised us a swoon-worthy collection of 15 brand-new silhouettes with “intricate jacquards, shimmering satins, dramatic feathered plumes and ball-worthy embellishments,” that are based on looks from the series. The brand will also include shoes for all genders––so nobody will be left out with this collection. 

 

The announcement dropped this Tuesday, where Malone expressed her excitement at the collaboration with the Netflix hit: “I’m a huge fan of Bridgerton,” says Malone. “It revisits the past with a sense of revolution and joy, which is exactly how I approach shoemaking. This partnership has been fascinating from a design perspective, allowing us to embrace the pomp and unabashed splendour of Regency fashion. But it also has felt like such a natural fit. I’m always inspired by the creative possibilities we can find in our past, but, also, the importance of always being innovative and daring in my work. For me, Bridgerton sums up both these impulses – and has a lot of fun doing it. I can’t wait to see where the partnership will go next.”

 

Bridgerton’s team at Shondaland also expressed similar feelings about this creative partnership. “From the very beginning, we at Shondaland approached Bridgerton through a modern and innovative lens, and our approach to the series’ Regency fashion reflects this perspective,” wrote Sandie Bailey, Shondaland’s Chief Design and Digital Media Officer. “Similarly, Malone Souliers’ daring approach to shoemaking and design is what drew us to this partnership, and we hope fans are as excited as we are for this collection.”
