Enough can’t be said about the man whose shoe designs have landed on the feet of almost every woman and now the long-awaited documentary entitled: Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards—finally has a launch date for September 29.

The retrospective film directed by the famed shoe designer’s friend, Michael Roberts, features narration by Blahnik himself and journeys through the brand’s most iconic milestones over 40 years. Most notably, the documentary features his childhood obsession with shoes and lizards, a clip of him being the first man on the cover of British Vogue shot by David Bailey in 1974, along with a highlight of Diana Vreeland encouraging him to design shoes.

You can also expect to see fashion’s most notable players, including Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Rihanna and Naomi Campbell who all discuss at length the influence he has had on modern culture.
