New York Fashion Week opened on a jubilant note Wednesday evening, as Marc Jacobs and Nordstrom NYC unveiled Marc Jacobs at The Corner, a limited-time pop-up celebrating the next chapter of Jacobs’ global JOY campaign.

In preparation for the event, the corner of 57th and Broadway was transformed into a multi-sensory playground. As fashion, art, and community collided, guests sipped cocktails, nibbled on light bites, and traversed into the world of JOY through a selection of thoughtfully curated details both whimsical and chic. In addition to notebook embossing courtesy of Moleskine, the pop-up also included live nail art by @manicuresNY and an intimate performance by rising musician Devon Thompson.

The crowd was an unequivocal reflection of Jacobs’ ability to bridge high fashion with pop culture, with attendees including industry leaders Jamie Nordstrom, Olivia Kim, Rickie De Sole, and Jian DeLeon, alongside a dynamic mix of artists, tastemakers, and icons: Whoopi Goldberg, June Ambrose, Derrick Adams, Sage Elsesser, Evan Ross Katz, Coco Bassey, Ella Snyder, Rowi Singh.

Marc Jacobs’ limited-edition JOY collection merges the American fashion designer’s buoyant vision with the playful, idiosyncratic voices of artists David Shrigley, Derrick Adams, and Hattie Stewart. Their collaborations with Converse, Moleskine, maxbone, SHUT, Gibson, and Crayola soften the divide between art and commerce, materializing in accessories, ready-to-wear, and signature bags that feel both collectible and covetable.

Throughout the month, The Corner will extend beyond retail with community-driven programming, including a Marc Jacobs smoothie in partnership with the Nordstrom EBAR, complimentary pet portraits (Bark Jacobs, baby!), nail art sessions, and surprise gifts with purchase.

The Corner runs through October 5th at Nordstrom’s New York flagship, with pieces also available at Nordstrom.com.
