Marc Jacobs Celebrates The 20th Anniversary of Girl, Interrupted

It’s time to bring back the iconic 20th-century film.

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of Girl, Interrupted, the house of Marc Jacobs built a three-piece limited-edition collection. Drawing inspiration from Winona Ryder and her iconic character, the capsule features graphics and iconography from the cult movie. Shot by Tina Tyrell, the BFA’s Model of the Year Adut Akech fronts the campaign’s regal imagery, sporting the full range across antique furniture and vintage interiors. Paying homage to the film’s 1999 premiere, Akech serves a fond glance at the lens with the movie’s thought-provoking question “Have you ever confused a dream with life?” written across her back.
The entirety of the collection’s proceeds will go directly to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to suicide prevention among LGBTQ youth. Serving a philanthropic cause, Marc Jacob’s Girl, Interrupted anniversary collection is a humanitarian collision of fashion and film.
The pieces are now available to purchase at Marc Jacobs Stores and online on MarcJacobs.comTake a look at the campaign’s imagery and get an up-close look at each piece from the celebratory range below.
