Marc Jacobs Makes The “Vote” Bag

Turn “tote” to “vote” with this cleverly placed patch.

The 2020 presidential election is just around the corner, so get-out-the-vote campaigns have reached an all time peak. Some brands are even getting in on the action, opting for socially-conscious branding that’s become increasingly popular among young shoppers. Most recently, Marc Jacobs transformed their staple tote bag into a “vote bag” with the sale of “The Vote Patch.”

The bright yellow V retails for $15 and is made specially to complement the Marc Jacobs “Traveler Tote” collection. The bag are made with a canvas fabric and come in a variety of sizes and colors, including Blue Shadow, Slate Green, Bright Pink, and Sweet Pea. They also feature the screen printed slogan “The Tote Bag” across the side. With the purchase of “The Vote Patch,” this label can be cleverly transformed to read “The Vote Bag.”

With every purchase of “The Vote Patch,” $10 will be donated to When We All Vote. The nonpartisan organization is on a mission to increase participation in elections and close the age and race gap among voters. It is co-chaired by celebrities and public figures including Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, and Selena Gomez.
