Marcelo Burlon County of Milan Debuts FW22 Collection

Marcelo Burlon has announced his newest collection, again paying homage to his Argentinian roots.

Argentinian designer Marcelo Burlon has announced his new Fall Winter 2022 collection. The collection, a part of his County of Milan label, features playful patterns and bright colors inspired by Burlon’s roots in Patagonia.

In yet another variation of Burlon’s unique sport-folk style, the “street-savvy” collection uses sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled nylon and fleece, in addition to twill and jacquard denim. The highlights of the all-encompassing line, which also includes activewear and loungewear, are gauchos and a bright poncho.

Burlon’s designs aim to create “cultural clashes,” which he certainly does, incorporating fringe, bolo ties, and shamanic prints into his looks. Other important stylistic elements of the collection are the use of layers and distorted patterns.

The collection debuted on Jan. 25 via a look book, shot by photographer Alessio Bolzoni. It comes just months after Burlon’s collaboration with FILA FUSION.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Marcelo Burlon County of Milan label.
