Under the direction of the industry’s hottest photography duo, Inez & Vinoodh, the city of light and love is captured effortlessly for CHANEL’s Fall-Winter 2024/25 Ready-to-Wear Collection. The campaign’s protagonist, actress Margaret Qualley, embodies the definition of a glamorous Parisian—from strolling along the Seine wearing a tweed CHANEL trench and matching beret to posing in front of the Eiffel Tower donning a navy-blue knitted dress with a pen and sketchbook in hand. The collection is not just a reflection of Paris but of the heritage CHANEL holds in French culture.

The campaign’s images are contrasting in appearance, with one shot taken during sunny hours and another filmed in a dark, mysterious light. The images are projected onto a giant screen to create a hyper-realistic setting, paying tribute to the golden age of Hollywood cinema and transporting viewers to a bygone era of luxury. Qualley embodies the essence of a femme fatale, exuding a sense of mystery and allure with her smoky-eyed gaze and bold haircut. Her presence in the campaign downright makes sense, as she is the ultimate blend of classiness and desirability.

The campaign features a range of stunning outfits that Qualley so effortlessly introduces to the public. From the gold lamé jacket and skirt that shine as bright as the Eiffel Tower to the flowing dress in printed crepe de chine, reminiscent of the city’s romantic atmosphere, each look is worn with a contrasting backdrop: light on dark versus dark on light. But a CHANEL campaign would be incomplete without its emphasis on jewelry, with Qualley dripped in gold bangles, earrings, and pendants with flower and leaf motifs, solid chained patterns, or the brand’s signature Double CC.

The campaign’s film features a rhythmic upbeat soundtrack with a French techno sound that perfectly encapsulates the city’s energy. According to Inez & Vinoodh, the film’s style blends slow, frozen moments with bursts of energy and emotion, showcasing Qualley’s natural talent and the duo’s commitment to telling a brand’s story, especially one as impressive and multifaceted as CHANEL’s.
