Margot Robbie Announced As Fragrance Brand Ambassador For Chanel

The actress joins the likes of Diane Kruger, Kiera Knightley, and other esteemed contemporaries in film.

Fashion house Chanel announced that their newest face of fragrances is actress Margot Robbie. With the addition of Brand Ambassador to Robbie’s accolades, she already has amassed an extensive list since her breakout role in The Wolf of Wallstreet in 2013. At just 23, the Australian actress appeared alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Matthew McConaughey in the story of businessman Jordan Belfort’s rise and crash on Wall Street.

Margot Robbie has played major roles in several other films, including Suicide Squad, Focus, Mary Queen of Scots and more. Along with acting, she has produced and is working on multiple film and television projects under her LuckyChap Entertainment banner. The aim of these films is to tell stories of strong, female roles. I, Tonya, released last year was about the 90s ice-skating sensation and feud in which Robbie plays Tonya Harding. With terrible makeup and scrunchies, the performance and editing earned several nominations.

At these events, Robbie wore Chanel. She wore Chanel to the Critics Choice Awards in LA where she won “Best Actress in a Comedy Film” for I, Tonya. At the Academy Awards ceremony, she wore a custom-designed Chanel dress by Karl Lagerfeld. And in 2018, she became the face of Coco Neige. Thus, it was an easy transition then, from being the face of a campaign to fragrance brand ambassador.

“It’s a dream to represent such a timeless and iconic brand,” Robbie said in a statement. “The history of the CHANEL woman is so exciting and the brand has remained such a powerful feminine standard of style.”
