Argentinian-based brand MARIA CHER, who recently expanded into the U.S, announced their pre-Fall 2022 collection earlier this week.

The collection, which explores both femininity and masculinity, was designed for women across the world to wear and be inspired by. With simple, basic cuts and colors contrasted with intricate designs and rich prints, the collection takes inspiration from both the glamour of the ‘70s and the music scene of the ‘80s. Each item in the collection, which includes puff-sleeve tops and a quilted jacket, was manufactured in either Argentina, Uruguay, or Turkey.

The driving creative force behind MARIA CHER is Maria Chernajovsky, who founded the label in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Influenced by the styles of both Argentina and Europe, Chernajovsky’s designs are both elegant and spontaneous. MARIA CHER has always focused on slow fashion: ignoring trends and creating capsule pieces that can be worn from year to year.

Continuing the sustainable practices, most of the collection is made locally, or at small-scale family businesses. Materials are sourced from around the world, from Indian silk to Peruvian cotton.
