Marine Serre Announces Fall/Winter 2020 Campaign
Directed by the Filature Agency, a look at where humans go from here
Marine Serre announces their new Fall/Winter Campaign for 2020 titled “Mind Melange Motors.” Directed by the Filature Agency, the campaign features Amalia Vairelli, Hyeseon Jeong, Juliet Merie, Melchior Massin and Emma van Peteghem set amidst distant dunes and landscapes.
Nomad (Marine Serre FW 2020), the collection has taken inspiration from inter-planetary escapades, assuming that human beings have spread out over other life-supporting planets, almost Mad Max-esque. The campaign is all about looking forward to a new era of civilization while growing from where we’ve come before.
It does so by weaving stories of predators, settlers, saviors, witches, amid others. It tells the story of how humans have adapted to changing environments while simultaneously going back to basics. New orders of society emerge similar to the way they did when humans first started growing on Earth.
Each shot highlights the shapes, colors, and patterns that the outfits display; from the hooded faux-fur leather-shaped bedcovers and black-fuchsia knits, to houndstooth dress-coats and flared djellabas.
The use of alternative fabrics and shapes highlights the majority of the campaign, while staying consistently chic and fashionable.
