Mark Your Calendars, the NYFW Fall Schedule Just Dropped

And it looks promising
The preliminary September 2026 schedule for New York Fashion Week has been released by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The week will introduce collections for notable and emerging brands for the Spring/Summer 2027 season.

On the eve of fashion week, brands including Ralph Lauren, Coach, Rachel Comey, Cult Gaia and Libertine will host a show on Wednesday, September 9. New York Fashion Week will kick off with the debut of Diane von Furstenberg’s new artistic director, Henry Zankov, on Thursday, September 10. The next day, no one will step down any runways until 10 a.m. on Friday out of respect for the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Fashion week will close out with Thom Browne on Tuesday, September 15.

According to the preliminary schedule, there will be 70 runway shows and designer presentations. All other additional collections will be available by appointment and can also be viewed digitally.
Some beloved brands that have been away far too long are making their momentous return this season, including Monse, threeASFOUR and Tommy Hilfiger. A multitude of younger brands eager to take the runway will include Benjamin Seidler, Conner Ives, Grey’s by Emily Grey, High Sport by Alissa Zachary, Hikari no Yami by Jakarie Whitaker, Magda Butrym, Max Esmail, Patrick Taylor, Sabyasachi by Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Zaldy.
Other brands, like Bad Binch TongTong by Terrence Zhou, Jamie Haller and Milamore by George Inaki, are 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists and have landed a spot on the calendar for the first time. But they aren’t alone; some returning CVFF finalists, like Aisling Camps, Amir Taghi, Lii by Zane Li, Zoe Gustavia and Anna Whalen, will also make an appearance.
All of these brands will have to work with the new CFDA fur-free policy, which goes into effect for this season, following the policy’s announcement in September 2025.
