Marni Reveals Dreamy SS19 Campaign

Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth insterted us right into a Flemish painting with these gorgeous images.

Marni just dropped their latest campaign, an ethereal set of photos advertising their Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

The images are warm, moody, and classic with model Jess Maybury serving some some Mona Lisa elegance. This collection gave us a little touch of humanity that we often don’t see in fashion–the concept of process. There are fraying edges, exposed seams, and 3-dimensional draped, muslin-esque fabrics that are gorgeously brought to life in photographer Jamie Hawkesworth’s dreamy images.

Conceptually, Hawkesworth took the idea of artist-and-muse for this collection of photographs, with Maybury in classical, statuesque poses that remind of the Classicism period in art that Marni often takes inspiration from. The photos were set at the Musée Bourdelle in Paris, the sculpture studio of French artist Antoine Bourdelle.
