In his debut collection, Tod’s Creative Director, Matteo Tamburini, stays true to Tod’s legacy by delivering looks that value quality and style above all else. Microtrends have no place on this runway as emphasis is placed on classic Italian style which is en vogue now and forever. The majority of looks borrow from menswear to provide fresh and dynamic womenswear looks that stay simple but stand out.

Business attire looks like the blue button-down shirt and brown slacks combination at the start of the show provide a widely recognizable look but with a high fashion twist. When you look closer at these classic garments, design details like double collars and unique hemming, allow them to be worn to the office or red carpet.

Outerwear then takes over a large section of the show as trenches and coats show how the Tod’s girl can stay chic and warm in the colder months. Leather, a material Tod’s has mastered, is used for trenches and cloaks while wool is used for coats and accompanying trousers.

While the focus of the collection is on more masculine silhouettes, dresses and skirts still have their moment on the runway. Midi dresses show up in a variety of materials, notably leather, where the craftsmanship and sophistication pour out. Women’s handbags also add a feminine touch and are primarily made of soft leather for a timeless accessory. Feminine accessories continue from head to toe with a high-heeled take on motorcycle boots and loafers.
