MCM Launches Its First-Ever Fragrance

The luxury leather aficionados release a woodsy floral perfume designed after the brand’s emblematic backpack.

Right in time for spring, German fashion brand MCM is introducing its first signature fragrance in partnership with Inter Parfums. This launch is announced alongside the brand’s global communications campaign, Travel Beyond.

Known for their luxury leather goods, MCM’s new perfume design is modeled after the brand’s iconic backpack — complete with an adorable and emblematic top handle, studs, and Cognac Visetos logo.

The perfume’s aroma captures the vibrance of the campaign’s electric energy, with fruity elements of apricot and raspberry, heart notes of fragrant jasmine and peony, and a base of musky Ambrox® Super, vanilla, and sandalwood. The result is a bright, woodsy floral that marries nature with technology.

“Emotion is the epicentre of all journeys and destinations,” says Dirk Schoenberger, MCM’s global creative officer. “For MCM, a brand with a strong travel heritage, we wanted to conceptualize our DNA of mobility through a fragrance that captures the essence of discovery — from sentiment to scent. Our consumer is not confined by rules, gender, boundaries or location — travel is their creative expression. The MCM fragrance joins them on their journey across imaginary, physical and digital domains.”

MCM’s fragrance is available for $65-$95 exclusively in MCM stores through March, with a global launch in April.
