German luxury fashion house Modern Creation München (MCM) teams up with Japanese streetwear powerhouse A BATHING APE® (BAPE®) for their Spring/Summer 2024 capsule collection. The two iconic brands reunite after their debut collaboration in 2019 to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a Lunar New Year collection—a first for the brands.

“Both brands complement one another as they achieved prominence through their natural proximity with the global streetwear movement—MCM finding a renaissance in the New York hip-hop community of the ’80s, and BAPE® coming of age during the explosion of Tokyo’s Harajuku scene in the ’90s,” said Sabine Brunner, President and Brand & Commercial Officer of MCM. “It is a true celebration of luxury streetwear that captures the essence of the Zeitgeist.”

The seven-piece collection transforms MCM’s iconic logo-embellished bags by incorporating the prominent BAPE STA™ logo, enveloped by a golden dragon to pay tribute to the Year of the Dragon. The Shark Hoodie, designed in black and cognac Visetos, boasts the collaboration logo emblazoned over the monogram, alongside the BAPE® shark motif woven over the hood’s exterior. The items range from $550 to $1,290.
