MCM is making strides in the house’s new collaboration with none other than Crocs. The new shoe, titled the MCM X Crocs Mega Crush Clog, drops as a part of the Step Out collection, with a new campaign starring acclaimed actress Lindsay Lohan.
Captured in the city of Dubai, housing some of the world’s most spectacular architecture and design, Dubai becomes the perfect backdrop to capture the inventive shoe. A city known for its innovation and modern thinking, Dubai reflects the two major influences of the drop: MCM’s Cognac Visetos Trunks and the Mega Crush. The two concepts manifest in imaginative shoe design, one that honors the boundless creativity at the heart of each brand.
Lohan shares her own enthusiasm about her part in this collaboration and the personal touches that make it so special. “I was honored when asked by MCM to partner on their latest collaboration with Crocs. The new MCM x Crocs Mega Crush is equal parts playful and chic,” says Lohan in a statement. “The shoe combines style, versatility, and comfort—all important to me when choosing the perfect fashion accessory. It was an extra special touch to shoot here in Dubai, the place that I call home. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!”
In addition to the shoe, MCM offers its signature mini-belt bag with a new 3-in-1 modular design that can be attached and removed from the outside of each shoe or worn separately as an accessory. New ‘Jibbitz’ charms will also be included in the launch inspired by MCM house codes. The Mega Crush Clog also includes a Visetos strap with signature Stark studs. The base maintains a reflective design. Overall, the heel, available in black, gold, white, and White & Silver, is a funky and imaginative collaboration, that speaks to the fun and creative outlook of both brands.
The Mega Crush Clog will be available beginning today, July 21st, in select MCM stores and online.
