Meet Good Weird: The New Genderless Beauty Brand, Led by Evan Mock

“Put your best face forward”

It’s been a few years since we were first introduced to skater and actor extraordinaire Evan Mock’s pink buzz cut and heartthrob-level disposition in the HBO Max Gossip Girl reboot. Since then, Evan has acquired an impressive resume between acting, modeling, skateboarding, and now with his latest endeavor: creative director of beauty brand Good Weird.

Newly launched on March 29th, Good Weird is what inclusive beauty dreams are made of. Co-founded by Stephen Yaseen & Jon Wormser, Good Weird is a brand that rests at the convergence of skincare and makeup. Providing a wide range of easy-to-apply products, this line was designed with the timid beauty lover in mind. Backed by TikTokers such as Everett Williams, Drumaq, Winterissues, Linmick, and Jonah Almost, Good Weird is aiming to make quite the impression in the Gen Z beauty space.

Good Weird has an original approach to beauty. It’s an unconventional brand that’s breaking barriers and thinks for itself,” says Mock to V. “I’m excited to bring this brand to life alongside Jon and Stephen. As Creative Director, I’ll be able to showcase my skills behind the camera on future campaigns and products. We really want to build a community around Good Weird and change the conversation around who can and can’t explore the beauty aisle”

A few years back, a sudden breakout prompted Jon to scan the beauty aisles for a product that could simultaneously ease irritation and conceal the blemish. To his dismay, Jon found that the products in his local drugstore did one or the other, but not both. Believing that everyone should be able to find beauty products that leave them looking their best and feeling confident, Jon paired up with his good friend Steven to satisfy this gap in the market.

As a genderless beauty brand, Good Weird is dedicated to helping everyone “put their best face forward.” “We’re excited to reveal to the world what we’ve been working on diligently for the past two years. It feels like there are so many beauty brands, but none with us in mind,” says co-founders Yaseen & Wormser to V. “Skin, beauty, and confidence are inherently genderless and so should the brands and products that address those needs. We hope to build a community for the beauty outsiders and those that haven’t been represented previously.”

From the brightening “Cold Brew Under Eye” serum that blurs fine lines and encourages collagen production to the “Back From Vacay Bronzer” that comes in three shades and promises to deeply moisturize the skin just as much as it’ll give you that post-holiday glow, Good Weird thinks of everything. Even more, the brand is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, and Leaping Bunny certified. If your goal is to look good- and do good while you’re at it- adding one of these feel-good products to your cart is a no-brainer.
