Meet the LV Crayon: Louis Vuitton’s First Lip Liner

Dame Pat McGrath puts her two decades of runway lip artistry to La Beauté Louis Vuitton’s newest tool
The LV Crayon marks the house’s first-ever lip liner, joining the La Beauté Louis Vuitton universe alongside the LV Rouge lipstick and LV Baume that launched just last year; a debut that sold out fast and proved the appetite for LV’s take on makeup was real and fervent.
The Crayon comes from Dame Pat McGrath, the house’s Creative Director of Cosmetics and arguably the most influential makeup artist today, renowned for three decades on the runway for her transformative lips; from glitter finishes to her iconic metallic gold lip (the very first Pat McGrath Labs product ever sold!)
Shades span ten options, from warm nudes like Beige Atlas and rosewood tones to a run of bold, statement reds like Rouge Louis and Monogram Rouge. McGrath also rolled out a handful of signature looks to go with the launch: a soft blurred “Blur Illusion,” a ’90s-inspired brown-liner-pink-balm combo, and an overlined nude technique she’s been refining for thirty years, all designed to be worn solo or layered with LV Rouge and LV Baume.

“Every look I have ever created on the Louis Vuitton runway begins with the lip line – it is where precision becomes art. The LV Crayon is a tool that deserves to be in the hands of every woman. It’s both seamless to use and beautiful to hold.”

The formula leans as much into performance as it does into aesthetics: peptide-infused, creamy, and built for up to 24 hours of wear, with claims of smoothing and visibly plumping lips on contact. Industrial designer Konstantin Grcic shaped the pencil into the silhouette of the Monogram flower, ingeniously enhancing hand grip and control while giving the liner an unmistakably LV identity.

Rounding out the collection are a few covetable extras: a lip blending brush, a sculptural beauty sharpener, a pouch built to hold the full lip lineup, and a Monogram canvas case for collecting all ten shades at once.
