Megan Thee Stallion is hearing her fans and delivering exactly what they ask for. As fan love for the album track “Movie” on Megan’s album grew, she decided to take it one step further by dropping a music video for it.

“Movie,” off Megan’s debut album Good News, is the kind of track you’d find on several rap albums, celebrating riches and excess and luxury. But the track turns it on its head by making it a strip club anthem, having Megan play the performer, in full command of her worth. The song also features an assist from Lil Durk, who plays the generous patron just happy to be there, basking in the glow of what seems like a very profitable venture.

The Mike Ho-directed music video takes that vision and runs with it, turning it into a literal movie. No really, the cinemascope and production value aren’t too far off from an actual feature film. The lavish video is set in a strip club named “Stallions” and features Megan and Lil Durk playing out their characters from the song. Megan, as a performer, dons several two piece outfits as she and her ladies “shake that booty” (as Lil Durk says repeatedly) and lounge in the several, several dollar bills being thrown around, enough to fund the US economy. It’s the kind of wonderful extravagance that’s become expected of Megan, and she definitely doesn’t disappoint.

The song, like mentioned, comes from Megan’s debut album, the recipient of two Grammy Awards last month for the “Savage” remix. Since then, tracks like “Body,” “Cry Baby,” and now “Movie” have already become fan favorites, keeping hype for the album alive as she continues branch out and collaborate with other artists as well.
