Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talents Celebrates 10 Years at London Fashion Week

10 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talents alumni hosted an exhibition together at Somerset House.

London Fashion Week isn’t unfamiliar with Mercedes-Benz. Over the last 24 years, Mercedes-Benz has been a principal sponsor of numerous fashion weeks, including London’s, solidifying themselves as a mainstay of support for the industry. With the launch of the “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talents” program (formally known as “Mercedes-Benz International Designer Exchange Program”) 10 years ago, the company stepped beyond its purview and advanced fashion in a new regard, highlighting the brightest, emerging stars and creative talents around the world. The program has jumpstarted more than 90 designers’ careers in fashion, promoting their work locally and globally, with the opportunity to stage a show on one of 30 international platforms.

This London Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz celebrates the 10year anniversary of its “Fashion Talents” program, commemorating its contributions to the fashion talent arena and waving in a new era of support. To launch the next chapter of its program, Mercedes-Benz invited back 10 of its most influential designers to reminisce on its achievements and create an installation at Somerset House. Showcasing the work of designers, like Dion Lee, Xiao Li and Steven Tai, the exhibit honors their creative force and the significance of the program’s impression on their careers. In order to elevate its impact on the fashion industry in the coming years, the program hopes to partner with leading creative schools and expand the variety of creative industries under its scope. “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talents” has reached this milestone with style and has laid the framework for its next 10 years of talent cultivation.
