Mercedes-Maybach unveiled its newest design package, Night Series, earlier this month—entering the brand’s next chapter as it moves to bring in new audiences.

As an interior-exterior package for all three Mercedes-Maybach series models, Night Series features combinations of dark chrome, rose gold details, interior herringbone decor, an inventive wheel design with a Maybach pattern, and a unique start-up animation that compliments the Night Series aesthetic.
“Night Series is the most progressive Maybach design package—it’s our already well-known supreme aesthetics, heightened with exquisite, darkened motifs,” shares Chief Design Officer for Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Gorden Wagener. “Our goal was to create an exciting new style, offering a playful sense of rebellion that is unexpected to what you usually see in a Mercedes-Maybach.”

Some Night Series details will be different for all three models. For the soon-to-be-released EQS SUV, the first electric Mercedes-Maybach, features include the grille panel enhanced with Maybach pinstripes, the air intake inserts on the front bumper refined with a Maybach dark chrome-plated pattern, a paint option in MANUFAKTUR diamond white bright, and the individual headlights decorated with a rose-gold Maybach emblem and dark chrome refinements.

For the S-Class, its long silhouette is emphasized with two visible tailpipe trims in dark chrome and black, with other notable details including a two-tone paint option in onyx black/Mojave silver, and two interior options: MANUFAKTUR deep white/black and a mother-of-pearl effect with black/Black Pearl nappa leather.

The GLS will have dark chrome elements across the entire front of the model, including an upright Mercedes star on the hood, a radiator grille, trim parts, and a Maybach pattern in the side air intake. Other features include a 23-inch wheel with high-quality inserts including a Maybach pattern, and an interior in crystal white combined with Black Pearl accents.

The launch of Night Series was held at a cocktail party in a private home in Greenwich Village, and a pop-up Maybach clubhouse provided attendees with an opulent yet discreet look at the package in person.

The Night Series will be rolled out across the three models over time, soon to be available for the S-Class, then available for the EQS SUV when it hits the market, and lastly available for the GLS in early 2024. A collection inspired by Night Series will soon be released by partner-company MAYBACH Icons of Luxury, including sneakers, bags, and eyewear.
