Messika Releases New High Jewelry Collection: Magnetic Attraction

Inspired by dance and movement, Messika’s new collection gives us a way to reconnect with the world and ourselves again.

This past year we learned the importance of people’s presence and the energy they bring into our lives. The world is slowly re-adjusting and there is a re-emergence of light and hope. As these shifts happen, we are left to figure out how to navigate ourselves in this new social dance, where our relationships and interactions have shifted.

Designer Valérie Messika cites movement as a central element of her creative process for her new collection. Messika’s new collection emphasizes how we are all learning to move again. Diamonds dance in each piece of iridescent jewelry.

“This collection is a way of infusing the energy, the lightness, the dance, the femininity… a sort of breeze of life, an art of movement,” Messika said.

The collection also contrasts playfulness and class with pieces like XXL hoop earrings, yellow diamonds and original combinations of stones present in each design. The collection has 16 unique pieces, with pear-cut diamonds silhouetted throughout.

“The energy within the heart of the diamond can be found in a human being and through the body’s natural movement, and especially through dance, which I wanted to symbolize through this collection,” Messika said.

The diamonds dance around with movement, creating a harmonious choreography of re-entering the dance of life. Messika honors the importance of dance to this collection by modeling jewelry on dancer Fanny Sage.
