Michael Kors Collection At NYFW: An Ode To Nightlife And New York

Michael Kors’ latest and zest-filled collection debuted at Manhattan’s notable music venue Terminal 5 as part of New York Fashion Week.

Michael Kors Collection gave every bit of sophisticated glamour at New York Fashion Week. The Fall/Winter 2022 women’s and menswear collection simultaneously juxtaposed reveal and conceal. This season’s collection theme embodied these mediums about stepping out in New York. Grammy award-winning musician Miguel performed as models walked the runway brightened with fixtures reflective of city lights at Manhattan’s legendary music venue Terminal 5. The show’s debut cemented itself as the first of any fashion show at this location and Michael Kors’ first evening time, live one. Kors’ Spring 2022 Ready-To-Wear collection previously premiered at Central Park.

The collection’s color palette featured a combination of warm and smoky tones with occasional bright yellow, orange, and fuchsia hues. These bold looks included various outwear coat styles, pullovers, turtlenecks, and blazers, along with cashmere and embroidered dresses, bodysuits, and cropped and ribbed styles. Accessories comprised envelope, travel, and clutch bags pieces with footwear encompassing sleek stocking boots, pumps, and sandals. Its garments incorporated asymmetrical lines of demarcation and short hemlines highlighted throughout.

“For this show, I wanted to bring the excitement and energy of the night on the town to life—because I think right now, no matter where you are, we’re all craving that,” Kors states in a press statement. “And the clothes are really everything you need for stepping up, stepping out, and making an entrance,” he continued.
