Michael Kors x Ellesse Is Retro Cool

Emily Ratajkowski fronts a campaign that reawakens vintage sportswear with a modern, luxurious feel

American luxury fashion brand Michael Kors and luxe Italian sportswear brand Ellesse have joined forces on a special collaboration honoring sportswear styles of the ’70s.

The 24-piece capsule reimagines retro, embodying a vintage feel with a cool, contemporary edge, signified through a meld of Michael Kors emblematic logo and Ellesse’s tennis-and-ski inspired one.

Bright oranges and reds meet timeless navy blue and white, with track sets, vintage-style swimsuits, chunky sneakers, logo slides and neon bucket hats in the cohesive and innovative capsule. Kors’ iconic Hudson backpack and Bradshaw shoulder bag round out the collection, with a waved pattern featuring the Michael Kors x Ellesse emblem found throughout the accessories.

Confident, cool, and energetic define the nature of the collection and campaign, which features a star-studded cast including model Emily Ratajkowski and Brooklyn-based rapper Jay Critch (whose beats are featured in the shoot and campaign video) alongside a global cast of musicians, models and multi-hyphenates that bring vintage luxury to life. With sunny Miami as the perfect backdrop, the tennis court shoot is imagined through the lens of fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey and styled by Mel Ottenberg, editor-in-chief of Interview.

You can shop the capsule at Michael Kors digital flagships. It will also be imagined in a series of pop-up installations worldwide.
