Miley Cyrus Releases ‘Angels Like You’ Music Video

With scenes shot at her Super Bowl performance, the singer shared a special message urging people to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Miley Cyrus surprised fans this Monday with the music video for her Plastic Hearts track “Angels Like You.” The short film was co-directed by Cyrus alongside Alana O’Herlihy and was recorded at the singer’s Super Bowl TikTok Tailgate show in Florida earlier this year. Footage shows her singing and lying on the grass in the sequin “25” black and pink jersey and white pants she sported at the pre-game show.

The performance was the first major live concert of its size in the U.S. since the Covid-19 pandemic began in March 2020. The audience, who’s also featured in the music video, was made up of 7,500 fully vaccinated healthcare and frontline workers. “It’s my honor to perform for you,” Cyrus said at the show. “Our gratitude toward you is infinite.”

The video ends with a stylized winged heart with the words “Misery loves company” and a handwritten note from Cyrus urging viewers to get vaccinated as soon as they can. “The audience here is fully vaccinated health care workers who have been fearlessly + tirelessly fighting Covid-19,” reads the message.

“We all look forward to being together again + this can happen sooner than we may have thought with vaccines becoming more available. Each of us can help stop the pandemic by being vaccinated. Together we can make the experience of live music a reality again.”
