Missoni Appoints Filippo Grazioli As New Creative Director

The Creative Management team of the fashion brand switches up to welcome a new era.

As of March 17, Alberto Caliri is no longer the creative director for Missoni. As part of a reorganization of the creative management team, the brand elects a new designer to take Caliri’s place. Filippo Grazioli steps into the new role as the creative director for Missoni Men’s and Women’s collections.

Taking on a younger designer is part of Missoni’s mission to raise their role in the luxury market. Livio Pirlo, CEO of Missioni and mastermind behind the change in management said Grazioli “ is humble but very determined and, above all, aware that it is not official titles or promotions that make a difference but being able to do your own work professionally, seriously and with passion, bringing creativity to life within a business project.” Grazioli has worked for several luxury brands, including Maison Margiela, Burberry, and Givenchy. Grazioli is grateful for his new role, and is excited to “shape [his] experience further in a new vision that maintains the joyfulness, freshness, sense of color and positivity that are the core qualities of Missoni.”

Caliri has been with Missoni for a long time, and was once the right hand man to Angela Missoni. Now, Caliri takes over the Home section of the brand. He works alongside creative supervisor Rosita Missoni. “My journey in the world of Missoni continues by switching from jumpers and clothes to home and lifestyle, two worlds both based on beauty, where color and materials merge. With Missoni Home, I can continue to fully express my passion for architecture, art and design. I am very happy with my new role,” said Caliri.

As the world of fashion is ever changing, Missoni is making the moves to change along with it.
