Missoni released their new Fall/Winter 2020 campaign today, presenting a digital fashion experience as a love letter to Italy.

Against scenic Italian landscapes, models wear the elegant new collection as they fall in love with a place and with each other.

“To fall in love with a place…” says a languid voiceover in the video, “To fall in love—it’s a sentiment that transports you to another existence.”

The campaign video, set in Missoni’s hometown of Varese, as well as other nearby places close to creative director Angela Missoni’s heart, shows inspiring panoramas against a warm color palette that feels like a sweet embrace.

Standout pieces featured in the campaign include a knit men’s cardigan in shades of crimson and sapphire, a matching glittery multicolor striped shirt and trousers set, and pinstriped trousers—all the epitome of love, a breath of fresh air, a picturesque scene of adoration.

The collection emphasizes autumnal tones, bringing out shades of rusted orange, rich brown, and deep jade contrasted with clean white and grey details. Both the men’s and women’s collections feature linear prints on trousers, button-down shirts, blazers, polos, and coats, especially stripes and zigzags.

Since it was established in 1953, the luxury Italian brand has been known for their vibrant, colorful knitwear designs, taking a bold approach to refined, graceful apparel. Missoni has since become known for their signature expertise in both warm-toned palettes, rich fabrics, and clean-cut silhouettes and designs, all of which are as poised as ever in the Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
