Miu Miu 2026 Leather Goods Campaign Starring Gigi Hadid

Crafted out of matelassé leather, the Arcadie and Wander bags merge quilted texture with distinct, contrasting silhouettes
The Miu Miu 2026 leather goods campaign presented a controlled interior where youthful independence unfolded within a more traditional setting. Photographed by Steven Meisel and featuring Gigi Hadid, the narrative followed a character moving through a bourgeois apartment, subtly reshaping the space through presence and gesture. Within this setting, the Arcadie and Wander bags remained central, crafted in matelassé leather that created a quilted, dimensional surface.

Developed in the mid-2000s, this technique became one of Miu Miu’s defining constructions, built by layering soft nappa leather over padding and securing it with repeated stitching to create a raised, structured surface. The Arcadie takes on a more structured silhouette, where this construction reinforces its defined shape. Meanwhile, the Wander takes on a softer, curved form.
This focus on construction reflects Miu Miu’s position within the Prada group. Founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada, the brand has developed a design language centered on variation in form and material. In this context, the matelassé technique functions beyond surface treatment, shaping how the bags hold and move. The padded construction and controlled stitching generate volume and structure directly through the material, allowing both designs to share the same system while producing distinct silhouettes.
