Miu Miu Breathes New Life into Vintage Clothes

The new campaign, featuring Suki Waterhouse, upcycles pieces to give them new life.
A recurring theme occurs in fashion: calling upon the past to inform the present. Trends reemerge in a circular motion, the fads of past generations once again appearing across runways and in-store. To some this creates a frustrating cycle of repetition. It feels impossible to envision something entirely new. This sensation is reimagined by Miu Miu Upcycled 2026, building upon vintage pieces with an awareness to sustainability.

The fashion house partners with Suki Waterhouse, “Model, Actress, [singer], Whatever”. She serves as the elegant vessel to embody the vision of reinterpretation and storytelling. Simplicity plays a key role in this campaign. White cotton shirts and khaki chinos (the classics) are a centerpiece of the collection symbolizing the functionality of the brand. Waterhouse is shot in a plain studio allowing for form and figure to play a larger role.

The clothing itself is sourced from vintage dealers globally. The pieces were restored and reworked to create something new. Trousers become skirts. Shirts redesigned as dresses. Buttons replaced and plain materials personalized and embroidered. The wear on pieces isn’t hidden, it is embellished as another part of the design. The campaign presents a collection where no two pieces are exactly alike. Rather, each has a personal history and an imagined future.
