MM6, Maison Margiela’s contemporary womenswear line established in 1997, has teamed up with Eastpak to launch their second collaboration, this time a capsule of bags, backpacks, wallets and suitcases with surprising undertones.

As part of their Spring-Summer 2o22 collection which pays homage to women surrealists, the MM6 Maison Margiela x Eastpak offering is composed of juxtapositions and visual puns. A color palette of black, yellow, off white and pine green adorn the pieces with asymmetrical silhouettes and unexpected functionality.

A suitcase is encased in faux-fur, while the Eastpak Crew wallet is reimagined into a shoulder bag, it’s proportions over-exaggerated. Also included is a Japanese bag, its triangular shape inspired by origami.

The SS22 collection features an unorthodox blend of designs characterized through bright yellow opera gloves, mylar chessboard graphics and structured collars.

The capsule collection drops on April 29 at MM6 and Eastpak e-commerce sites and boutiques, alongside select multibrand stores.
