Moment 4 Life: A Nicki Minaj Documentary is Coming

The rapper shared the trailer to her documentary on social media earlier this week.

Coming soon to a streaming platform near you: an official Nicki Minaj documentary.

The Grammy-nominated rapper teased fans on Thursday by dropping the trailer to the six-part documentary on Instagram and Twitter, detailing both her personal life and her rise to fame.

The documentary, which is currently being referred to as “The Nicki Documentary,” is produced by Bron Studios. Minaj has yet to land on a platform to house the series, which the trailer calls “a story so raw, it can only be told by a legend that’s real.”

The trailer is filled with clips of Minaj’s early days, including the moment Taylor Swift tweeted her in 2011. “You don’t get a manual on how to be a famous rapper,” a young Nicki can be heard saying. “You just learn it as you go.” The trailer also shows footage of Minaj preforming through the years along with a montage of her fans, while a voiceover finds her sharing a message to her younger self. The “Moment 4 Life” rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty, also makes an appearance in the 2 minute video.

“Coming out sooner than you think” Minaj wrote on Instagram. “I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work. As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc. Some things are so personal, it’s scary. It’s like nothing you’ve seen before and I need it to be handled with care,” she explained.

Sorry Barbz, there’s no official release date for the documentary, but you can watch the trailer below.
