Moncler’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection expertly merged the worlds of digital activation with utilitarian-inspired outerwear through a multi-faceted approach to traditional fashion presentations. Coinciding with digital experiences spanning across major cities — Tokyo, Shanghai, New York, and Seoul — singer Alicia Keys hosted the main event live from Milan Fashion Week.

Always looking to engage exciting communities and creatives, Moncler again enlisted the help of an impressive list of names on its “Genius” roster for the Spring/Summer collection — JW Anderson, Veronica Leoni, Sergio Zambon, Sandro Mandrino, Craig Green, Alyx 9SM, and Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Switching between the five aforementioned cities, the presentation highlighted creatives and pop-culture icons who wholly embody the active DNA of the Moncler stratosphere. The first display in the nearly hour long presentation was an enigmatic short film directed by Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and with ready to wear crafted by JW Anderson. Showcased on the picturesque streets of Milan were breezy separates, vibrant patterns, and the brand’s signature puffer jackets.

Next, viewers were transported to Shanghai, China and were greeted by architect Qi Shanshan who recited a monologue while must-have pieces were shown throughout the city. Moncler then stopped in New York where musical artist Solange Knowles helped Rome-based designer Veronica Leoni display her emphatic range of womenswear. Inspired by the likes of Josephine Baker and Luisa Casati, dynamic trousers and all-black pieces were sported by Solange and her talented cadre of performers.

Equal parts experimental film and fashion spectacle, the brand conveyed its knack for tapping emerging talent and pushing the boundaries of the industry.
