Moncler’s Genius world tour kicked off in London with an exclusive launch party.
The city’s most noteworthy creatives, influencers, and hardcore Moncler diehards descended upon Camden Town for the much-anticipated event.
Guests entered a converted warehouse via a seven-story makeshift stairwell. The massive venue was dimly lit with red bulbs and white spotlights every which way. Moncler iconography was showcased throughout the property, with a video playing above the bar while logos were projected onto mesh screens.
Originally a sportswear and lifestyle brand, the company launched Moncler Genius in 2018. Moncler Genius sees several designers interpret Moncler through their own unique vision, celebrating diversity within creativity in fashion and other mediums. Past members of the Moncler family include Richard Quinn and Simone Rocha.
This particular tour kicked off with a collection of badges, puffer jackets, patchwork prints and hypnotic metallics.
The theme for the campaign was ‘art breaking.’
“I started with the idea of a vandalized art gallery. Moncler, for me, is about the simplicity of a product that comes to life in many forms. I wanted to have the form broken,” said Francesco Ragazzi, head designer of Palm Angels.
In the background, live DJ’s and a performance by rapper Octavian set the tone for an uproarious night. Musicians like British R&B phenom Col3trane were also in attendance.
The Moncler x Palm Angles collection launched in stores and online today.
