For Fall/Winter 2022, Moncler took on a new source of inspiration: the fast-paced world of sports. Those classic images of football and baseball are littered throughout the collection, from oversized numbers to striping. Classic Moncler designs, like the Maya, the Everest, and the Karakorum, are all reinvented around this new source material. The matte is juxtaposed with the shiny, creating a feast for the eyes. This is Moncler’s soireé into the modern consciousness, bringing streetwear and athleticwear to a luxury context.
The collection comes from Hiroshi Fujiwara, a Japanese streetwear designer and founder of Good Enough. Fujiwara brings a definitive sense of modernity and presentism to Moncler, diving into the niches of popular culture. The collection, titled “7 MONCLER FRGMT HIROSHI FUJIWARA,” is an almost entirely unisex offering on behalf of the brand. Available October 29th, be sure not to miss Moncler’s trip into the sports landscape.
