Monika “Jac” Jagaciak: From Runway to White Belt

Selected to premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, this biographical short-film reveals the unconventional life of the former supermodel

Monika “Jac” Jagaciak was discovered in her early teens, making her debut in her first Hermès campaign at just 13 years old. Her exceptional poise and striking presence quickly propelled her to become one of the most recognizable faces in high fashion. She fronted numerous iconic Calvin Klein campaigns and later earned her wings as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Having spent much of her youth in front of the camera, Jagaciak eventually set out to reclaim her own image — a journey explored in the biographical film.

Directed by Branislav Jankić and produced by Goran Macura, White Belt follows Jac’s journey as an inspiring rediscovery of self — a testament to the power of starting over. Leaving behind her life in the spotlight, Jac stepped away from the runway to train as a fighter, dedicating eight months to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under 3-time World Champion Gregor Gracie. The film opens in the lead-up to one of the world’s most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, where Monika “Jac” Jagaciak Janik emerges not as a model, but as a disciplined and formidable athlete reclaiming agency over her own life.
