Montblanc Celebrates 100 Years of Craftsmanship

The iconic brand gathered at the Crane Club in New York City for an exclusive celebration

Montblanc has a long history of fine leather goods, with this season marking 100 years of the brand’s leather craftsmanship. To celebrate the milestone, friends of the house gathered at the exclusive Crane Club in New York City. Guests included recent VMAN cover star Paul Anthony Kelly, alongside Jamie Campbell Bower, Alexandra Daddario, Karen Elson, Rupert Friend, Seo Kangjun, and Alfonso Herrera. Art Deco set the tone for the evening, accompanied by a soundtrack from Honey Dijon.

The centerpiece of the evening was the Writing Traveler briefcase installation, a testament to Montblanc’s leather craftsmanship that evokes the image of a classic writer’s desk. Designed with a place for every essential, the piece features a notepad for jotting down thoughts alongside compartments for pens and other personal items.

The evening also invited guests to take part in the experience themselves, with the opportunity to personalize a leather good as a keepsake from the night. At a postcard station, attendees could put pen to paper and capture a thought or memory before mailing it off. Together, the details celebrated the worlds that have long defined Montblanc, from the art of writing to leather craftsmanship.
