The Canadian luxury outerwear brand recently announced the launch of Moose Lab, an innovative platform dedicated to the brand’s creative collaborations, inviting designers and artists to reinterpret Moose Knuckles’ rich heritage. The initiative, which features a 12-piece capsule collection starring model and body positivity activist Paloma Elsesser,  blends the brand’s speciality in technical outerwear with the styles of contemporary city life.

The campaign, shot by Vito Fernicola, artfully combines utilitarian functionalityーthe JoJo Jumpsuit is a sterling standoutーwith the protective features of cold-weather military apparel pulled from the brand’s archives. Each piece is charged with the oversized look definitive of the 90s, giving the impression of a retro Top Gun-esque wardrobe through bold, geometric silhouettes. 

In order to seamlessly fuse the line’s functional design with the tenets of contemporary fashion, Moose Knuckles relies on a variety of materials that ensure protection against the harshest climates. In their new line, fine leather and Mongolian wool, down, and shearling offer as much insulation as they do aesthetic, bolstering a collection fit for the Arctic as much as it is for the metropolis. 

Spanning a variety of outerwear and accessories, Moose Lab’s first capsule respects the outdoor elements. The MTD Biker, a shearling-lined cropped jacket available in arctic white, black, and dusty pink, is more than equipped to withstand the looming temperature drops, and two iterations of the Pilot Hat — one crafted entirely from shearling and the other a blend of shearling and leather — function as timeless embellishments that optimize warmth. A synthesis of sleek, black leather and shearling produces the JoJo Jumpsuit, complete with pockets on the chest and legs for added utility, and for those seeking a more sophisticated shape, the Darrell Leather Trousers, made of rich brown leather, offer a stylishly loose fit.
