Motorola launches the next generation of razr phones — a high tech, 5G, screen bending and turbo charging flip phone — alongside a new film starring Emmy winner Julia Garner and Beyoncé’s Black is King star Aweng Ade-Chuol.

The short film, Joyride, is directed by New York City based filmmaker Luke Gilford. Inspired by the world of fashion, Joyride showcases the new collection of razr phones while juxtaposing “a mundane world with unapologetic characters.”

As a photographer, music video director and narrative filmmaker, Gifford’s pieces have exhibited in New York’s Modern Museum of Art, FOAM in Amsterdam and Sundance’s NEXT festival. In 2016 his film Connected, starring Pamela Anderson and Jane Fonda, premiered on VICE and won a Webby Award for Best Drama in 2017.

Setting it apart from other razr phones, the redesigned high tech flip phone comes equipped with a large capacity battery and a new TurboPower feature which gives users hours of power in just a few minutes of charging.

Razr 5G arrives in three colors including polished graphite, liquid mercury and blush gold. A high-quality camera, bending touch screen and external quick view display also arrive on the new phone.
