What makes a collection fun? Is it the usage of color or imaginative cuts, or experimenting with various materials and fabrics? The answer is yes- all of the above, just ask Massimo Giorgetti. The MSGM designer does it all in his Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Contrary to other collections, the looks are not strict to one theme; they are distinguishable and all over the place, creating the fashionable chaos that is both quirky and questionable.

The 42 looks in the collection each play a unique rhythm of randomness, adding to the allure of the unexpected. Setting the scene in Milan, the show combined abstract art with hypnotic design, creating pieces for the curious character in all of us.

The collection interweaves sporty polos and wrap-around blazers, doll-esque dresses paired with a preparatory sock-and-heel combo, and a considerable quantity of everything tartan. Skirts are crocheted and adorned with colorful beadery, and knit tops are completed with ribbons at the shoulder for added delight.

A lively palette is imagined in chocolate brown, taffy pink, lemon, sky blue, sandy beige, lavender, black, and cheeky red. Bubble hems are blown onto mini skirts and dresses for additional detail. Meticulously crafted prickly tops are reminiscent of shredded paper.

Accessories are kept minimal- balancing off the maximalist aesthetic. Shredded paper earrings are complimentary of the identical garments, and bags are scarce- caught in a chunky taffy pink wristlet.

MSGM’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection is colorfully overwhelming, bringing a feeling of adventure and refreshment onto the runway.
