Bright colors are always in for summer, but especially this year. Building from this years style trend of color blocking and intense hues, the summer’s brightest (literally) nail trend includes monochrome hot pinks and bright blues.

Colorful tips

Another way to wear the bright color trend in a more muted way is by doing color-blocked tips, like a rainbow french manicure. You can do different shades of the same color for an ombre effect, or go crazy and chose random colors for each finger.

Flower art

Getting flower art on your nails is almost like a rite of passage at a nail salon, and fortunately, the nostalgic design is back in. This summer, ask for micro designs of daisies or other flowers on each finger, mimicking a french tip.

Tangerine Orange

This bright orange color is in, and the perfect way to incorporate it into your wardrobe in an understated way is by using it for your nail color. Go for a monochromatic look with no designs, since the color is bright enough already.

Checker board pattern

The checker board pattern is the boldest, most fun nail trend of the summer. Mix and match colors for a bright look. or do all one color to further emphasize the pattern.

Hailey Bieber nails

TikTok is obsessed with Hailey Bieber’s go-to nail color combo. The model uses OPI Funny Bunny, OPI  Gel Color Stay Shiny Top Coat, and OPI Chrome effects in Tin Man Can to create the perfect shiny pearl color. Fans have been calling them “glazed donut nails,” a nod to her preferred skincare look.

Dots

Going with the minimalist trend, nails with small, delicate dots are a fun way to spice up a simple manicure. The placement of the dot is up to you – some go for about 3/4 of the way down a nail, close to the cuticle, while others keep that same measurement and reverse it.

Inverted French

Another modern take on the French manicure: flip it! Use a pop of color on the base of your nail and outline the cuticle for a unique pop of color.

Wavy designs

These nails were in last year, but the trend never really went away. Again, us e bright color (0r two) and make wavy patterns  across your nails at a horizontal angle. Each nail will be a little bit different, but the look will still be cohesive.
