‘Never Have I Ever’ Returns For Season Three
The hit rom-com series is back, and fans can’t wait to see how their favorite teenager’s love life unfolds
The wait is finally over: Never Have I Ever season 3 premieres on August 12, Netflix announced Sunday during the Netflix Is A Joke Fest. A teaser series of first-look photos from the new season shows fans their favorite returning characters alongside new additions to the cast.
The coming-of-age comedy follows Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian-American high school student as she grapples with grief and finds herself in the midst of love triangles and teenage drama. Since season two ended with quite a few cliffhangers, fans are eager for answers.
Never Have I Ever is created by executive producer Mindy Kaling, with Lang Fisher serving as co-creator, executive producer, showrunner, and writer. The plot draws inspiration from Kaling’s experiences growing up in the Boston area.
First released on Netflix on April 27, 2020, the show has been recognized for breaking South Asian stereotypes and has a cast of A-listers including Darren Barnet, Gigi Hadid, Andy Samberg, and more. A second season debuted on July 15, 2021, and a fourth and final season is rumoured to air in 2023.
