Since it’s inception in 2009, Honest By and its founder Bruno Pieters have been steadily challenging industry standards by being conscious as to how things are made, what they’re made of and how much they cost—proving that a truly transparent company has the capability to reset industry standards. The latest collaboration to drop comes to you courtesy of Y/Project and Honest By, which features a six-piece capsule collection of reconfigured seasonless and gender-free Y/Project pieces from the Spring and Fall 2017 collections.

The capsule line boasts a trench coat, striped shirt, jeans a sweatshirt dress along with a turtleneck and a skirt that segues into pants. Additionally, every item has been produced in France and includes the traceable origins of the fabrics as well as the finishings used—you can also expect to find that each piece has the GOTS tag, meaning that each garment is made to the Global Organic Textile Standard.

For Martens, the experience of creating a sustainable collection has been an eye-opener, allowing the seasoned and highly-skilled designer to become aware of his own line’s actions and how it impacts the garment industry—without sacrificing his signature aesthetic at Y/Project.
