For VMAN 43, we enlisted seven photographers and artists to travel the globe to capture the best of spring swimwear. For this wave, we’re taking a plunge into Amsterdam cool waters where photographer Winter Vanderbrink lensed Bork, Neo, Dris and Daan wearing swim pieces from Polo Ralph Lauren, Linder, Adidas and Ron Dorff.

This editorial was heavily influenced by Vanderbrink’s personal work, for which he’s using crowded locations in various cities in Europe. “In this case, I’ve shot swimwear in a similar spontaneous and voyeuristic manner,” he explained, “but in a private and therefore enclosed setting.”

He continues: “I was looking for a sober yet tactile and playful atmosphere, taking the interior of the apartment overlooking the ocean as a starting point.” The photographer admits that he wouldn’t change anything about his path in both professional and personal life, and encourages up-and-coming talent to discover their area of specialty, a certain niche:

“Find something specific and put your heart in it!”
