The Fall/Winter 2019 Alain Mikli campaign has finally arrived and proves that eyewear can be more than just glasses. It can be a mindset as well.

“Créatures De La Nuit,” shot by Alana O’Herlihy, contrasts soft, French romance with resilient nineties automotive nostalgia. Alain Mikli has always sought inspiration from strong, powerful women and the new campaign represents these ideals.

It features Sonia Ben Ammar, the French-Tunisian model, and musician, as the driver rather than the passenger. She is an example for all women who drive their own destinies. She is also representative of past models of the brand such as Grace Jones, Kate Moss, and Christy Turlington. Sonia is a rising star who has graced the covers of Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar and dominated the Chanel runway. The campaign also marks the release of her single “Joyride” which plays in the background.

“Our campaign serves as a celebration of the young talent of today,” Giampiero Tagliaferri, creative director of Alain Mikli, said. “In Sonia, we found a glimpse into the new wave of Mikli women.”
